Our Perceptual Motor Program (PMP) supports the development of foundational movement and learning skills in the early primary years. The program focuses on helping children improve their coordination, balance, spatial awareness, and body control through structured movement activities.
PMP sessions are designed to strengthen the connection between physical and cognitive development. As children practise skills such as tracking, sequencing, and cross-pattern movement, they build neural pathways that support later learning in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Activities take place in small groups, allowing teachers to observe and guide each child’s progress. Emphasis is placed on following instructions, focusing attention, and working collaboratively – all essential elements for successful classroom participation.
By regularly engaging in the Perceptual Motor Program, students develop greater confidence in movement, concentration, and readiness for formal learning. These early skills provide an important foundation for academic and social success throughout the primary years.
